Monorail Closure: FAQs

When will Sentosa monorail cease operations?
The monorail will cease operations from 16 March 2005. Please inform allSentosa guests and island partners that the last monorail service willoperate as per normal on 15 March 2005 from 10pm to 10.30pm

Why is Sentosa discontinuing / stopping monorail operations?
1. The closure of this monorail is to make way for the new $140mSentosa Express.2. We have received feedback from our guests that the monorail isvery slow and is not very comfortable.3. As a mode of transportation between attractions it is not veryeffective as it moves only in one direction.

What measures are you taking to beef-up inter-island transport?
With effect from 16 March 2005, Sentosa will beef-up inter-islandtransportation with additional bus and beach tram services to cater to the gap created by the closure of monorail.
